Faith Mission Testimony: Aaron, Liz & Jeremias

Faith Mission Testimony: Aaron, Liz & Jeremias

In September 2025, ALMA students stepped out in faith for their annual Faith Mission. The week before departure, known as “altar week,” was dedicated to prayer and seeking God’s direction for teams, destinations, and assignments. At the end of the week, each group was prayed over and commissioned for their journey.

The students left with only enough money for a one-way bus ticket, trusting God to guide and provide for every need along the way. Their mission was rooted in the words of Jesus:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33

During altar week, Aaron, Liz, and Jeremias sensed God leading them to work together and travel to Coronel Oviedo. Through prayer, dreams, and confirmation from one another, they experienced peace and confidence that God had prepared this mission for them.

On their first evening in the city, while evangelizing in the streets, they met Mrs. Lorenza, who welcomed them into her home. She provided dinner, a place to shower and rest, and breakfast the following morning. Before leaving, the team prayed for her and blessed her in the name of Jesus.

Later that week, while Jeremias was speaking with children playing basketball in a park, one boy named Keylor injured his foot and could barely walk. Jeremias prayed for him and encouraged him to stand and move his foot. Immediately, the pain disappeared, and the boy was healed. Excited, Keylor ran to tell his mother, opening the door for the team to share the Gospel with her. Deeply touched, she thanked them and blessed them with an offering.

The team stayed in the park worshipping God, and soon more children gathered around them. Together they sang, listened to the Word of God, and many accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Throughout the mission, the students experienced God’s provision and favor in many ways. One afternoon, while evangelizing in the heat, they stopped at a small family store where the owner kindly welcomed them, listened to their message, and refreshed them with ice cream.

On another day, as they walked to a church service praising God, children began running toward them to join in worship. Many heard the Gospel and opened their hearts to Jesus. The team left Coronel Oviedo believing that the seeds planted through prayer, worship, and evangelism would continue to grow for God’s glory.
